Since 1998, Upright Transport has provided discreet and secure transport of artists and their musical instruments and related equipment in and around New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania., Washington, D.C. and other locations as needed.

Upright's services include one way or round trip pickup-delivery to and from private residences, recording studios, repair shops, venues and airports. Unlike the typical "cartage" service, Upright Transport is a 100% custom service handling acoustic, electric and string instruments and equipment that require the upmost attention, security, care and handling.

Upright Transport is known in the music industry for it's specialized experience in handling acoustic upright basses of all sizes, ages and values in soft or hard shell cases. Upright transports basses, for its clients, on a regular basis to and from such East coast restoration shops as Kolstein's, Shank Strings, Ken Smith basses, AES Fine Instruments, Upton Bass Instrument Company, Jeff Bollach Inc. and David Gage String Instruments.

My clients are award winning international artists in all genres of the music industry such as Jazz, Classical and Rock and have included Marcus Miller, Mike Stern Lenny White, Dennis Chambers, Hiram Bullock, Will Lee, Victor Bailey, Jim Beard, George Mraz, Miroslav Vitous, Harvie S, Jay Anderson and Mike Merritt to name a few.

In June of 2007, Upright Transport was proud to be chosen by Kolstein's Bass shop to handle the transport of the late Scott Lafaro's acoustic bass, a priceless piece of Jazz history, to a recording session where it was used for the first time since the bassist's tragic death following his infamous performances with Bill Evan's trio at the Village Vangard in 1961.
